Who We Are and What We Do

Our Treatment Foster Care Program is based on the belief that care, patience, tolerance and understanding, together with a nurturing and stable family environment, in an atmosphere that promotes and supports respect for one another, directly and positively influence the emotional, physical, social and cognitive growth of children.

The ‘family environment’ is of the utmost importance to Hollyhawk Treatment Foster Care Services and our staff and Foster Parents endeavour to provide a nurturing home environment, necessary to meet the individual developmental and changing emotional needs of children, while at the same time understanding and, where appropriate, supporting the child’s relationship with their own natural families.

We are committed to helping children develop their self-esteem and become more confident in interpersonal relationships. We are committed to helping children develop responsibility for their actions: to be open to exploring and understanding why they act and what the outcomes of their actions are.

Specifically, we feel that children should be helped in sorting out and accepting the reality of past experiences, the world around them, and to develop future goals. We work to assist children to make progress in making commitments to the ways in which they can develop and assume responsibility for their present and future. Our Vision is to celebrate their successes.
