Additional Resources
- Videos and reading materials - are available in our
extensive resource library. Books, articles, links and community services
are all provided to our Foster Parents on an ongoing basis. Most of
the information is related specifically to treatment foster children
and youth and their specific needs.
- Support groups - regular informal gathering of foster
parents for support and discussion
- Peer Support - newer Foster Parents are connected
to veteran ones as an additional member of the treatment team to access
for support and guidance. This peer support has been integral in allowing
Foster Parents to validate and normalize their experiences.
- Annual Focus Group - to assist with data analysis
and quality improvement plans.
- Annual get togethers - seasonal and summer family
fun days are organized by Hollyhawk Treatment Foster Care and allow
for all foster families to meet one another.
